Summit Surgical Center – Las Vegas, NV
Summit Surgical Center is seeking an experienced full time Medical Assistant to support our Ambulatory Surgery Center team on an as-needed basis.
Position Overview
The Medical Assistant will assist in pre-operative and post-operative patient care and support clinical staff during procedural days. Flexibility and reliability are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated IV insertion competency (required)
- Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) experience strongly preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
- Current BLS certification
- Strong knowledge of infection control and sterile technique
- Ability to work efficiently in a procedural setting
- Professional communication skills and patient-centered demeanor
Responsibilities
- Perform IV insertions
- Assist with patient intake, vital signs, and documentation
- Support pre-op and PACU workflow
- Assist with room turnover and supply preparation
- Maintain compliance with safety and infection control standards
- Collaborate closely with RNs and physicians
Schedule
- Full Time
- Scheduled around procedural days
- Must have flexible availability
Compensation
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience
